"True Love" Conquers All
Brenda Jackson does a masterful job of weaving connecting stories yet each one stands great on its own. The story of Nicholas and Shayla shows true love leaves no room for hate, revenge, or anger. It also shows love is not enough but needs more components to survive. This is beautifully shown with Nicholas and Shayla, Trent and Brenna, as well as Paul and Callie. This story fits a line from Mrs. Jackson's previous novel 'Secret Love'. "Nothing is as safe as a secret forever."

Brenda has done it again!!
Another great read by Brenda. This women has so much talent that it just spills out onto the paper. Ok, I'm bias, but the Lady has mad skills (that means she is very good at what she does)! I just loved Nicholas, but of course he is Sterlings little brother. Shayla 's character was the bomb! I loved this book. And what was even better is that there was an update on Trevor and Corinthians,and Corinthians' best friend, Brenna, got a story in this book. Her next book due out next year is Surrender, that's Ashton Sinclair's story. Brenda also has some work coming out with St. Martin's Press later this year and the next. Go out and get a copy of all Brenda's work. Keep up the great work Mrs. Jackson!

This is a little book you can read within a couple of sittings, and if you are open to it, it will open your heart.It's not a book about relationships or about fixing problems -- it's about changing your perspective, becoming still and present to your experience. You don't need to search for love elsewhere -- if you can consistently practice what Thich Nhat Hanh calls "mindfulness", you will *be* love and you will see it everywhere. When I was done reading this book, I felt a sense of peace and presence and a wonderful knowing that all the love I ever need is right here in my own heart.

An Onion Layer Pealer
I just finished reading Thich Nhat Hanh's "True Love: A Practice for Awakening the Heart." This little 100 page meditation simply changed my perspective on many things.Talking about a powerful read on how to show and demonstrate love in your life. It all comes back to mindful presence, being there, not just in body, but in full absolute awareness. A true demonstration of love is not monetary or even a gesture but the action of being truly present.The book really helped me see things differently. If my soul was a gorgeous red onion, and the sweet, yet spicy heart was my true essence, then True Love peeled away a couple of layers to help me see things better. And it put the way I care for others into a perspective, some of which I really didn't want to see. I agree with another reviewer of this book that it is a little piece of poetry. However, this book is not meant to be just for information or for its teachings to be turned into belief or to be idealized, but instead the teachings in this book were meant to be practiced. Become love for your spouse, your children and everyone around you, and see life blossom...for you and all of those touched by true love!

I love this combo of stories into one book. More bang for your buck.I love the first two stories, but the third no so much.The first story is about a football player named Luke and the discovery of having cancer threatens his relationship with girlfriend Julie. At first he pushes her away, but soon both realized how much they loved on another. Luke was thought to be in readmission, but his disease threatens his life again.The second story is real sweet. I was hesitant to get this book because of the subject matter- My husband and I lost our infant daughter almost 4 years ago and I sometime find it emotionally draining to read about similar situations and the emotions that go with it. So I didn't know if this book would portray the feelings and emotions in an accurate way. I figured if I didn't like how it was written, I had the choice to stop reading.I really enjoyed this book. I felt like the feelings of all the characters were really on the mark. I don't know if the author has lost a child- but either she has or has been very close to someone who has. She expressed the grief and the thoughts perfectly without making it over-dramatic or like things could be "fixed" or "gotten over" with time. Because if you've lost a child, you know that you never get over it. tons of proofreading errors
I really enjoyed reading this book. I've never read anything by B. Freethy, so I was kind-of hesitant because I am so picky with the books I read. I almost put the book down and deleted it because of so many grammar errors in the book. I definitely think she needs to invest in a new editor or get another proofreader. There were several pages I had to re-read to understand because of the errors. I would give a higher rating had there not been so many errors.

Just ok
I wasn't in love with the writing style. I felt like certain parts of the book were written in, that didn't need to be there, just to make it a little longer. Things just felt so rushed in the book. The description makes it seem like Dru has a long road ahead of her in order to get this guys attention but she literally shows him her id then BAM he's in love and can't live without her....all with in a ten day time span. Bottom line I wouldn't pay 5.99 for this book to read it again, like I would some of my other books.
